While there is still definitely a good chance that we will be seeing more winter weather over the next several weeks (remember that as recently as 2021, Cincinnati experienced snow flurries on the opening day of the Reds’ baseball season), it’s not too early to begin thinking about the landscaping needs of the community. One specific are that bears consideration is whether there are tree branches or bushes that are currently in a dormant state that could benefit from trimming or pruning – or even removal.
One area where this situation tends to occur is in “common areas” of communities – especially in or near water retention or detention areas in close proximity to pipes and/or end walls. Landscapers have told us that it is often more cost effective to take care of these situations before the end of the winter dormancy, especially because it is easier to access the areas that need to be cut when there are not leaves in the way. If your community has these types of situations, we recommend authorizing some quotes for this type of landscaping and getting the work done work before Spring growth springs up
